Weeks left until Baby Bodkin's due date: 4
This weekend Hubby and I starting packing our bags for the hospital and trying to install the car seat. The packing went really well, but the car seat wasn't as simple. Unfortunately, when we purchased the car we weren't thinking about it in regards to a baby. However, with some manipulation and elbow grease we finally installed the seat. The passanger will definitely have their leg room cut in half, but at least we got it to fit! I can't wait to get our new car in the states! I told Eric I needed a big car... between the car seat, the stroller and the dogs I am going to need a bus :) Just kidding! Here are a few pictures from our weekend, and check back later in the week for a belly pic from the week. Enjoy...

Baby Development Notes: Baby Bodkin is still packing on the pounds — at the rate of about an ounce a day. He/she now weighs almost 6 pounds (like a crenshaw melon) and is more than 18 1/2 inches long. Baby B's shedding most of the downy covering of hair that covered the body as well as the vernix caseosa, the waxy substance that covered and protected the skin during the nine-month amniotic bath. Baby B swallows both of these substances, along with other secretions, resulting in a blackish mixture, called meconium, will form the contents of the first bowel movement. At the end of this week, Baby Bodkin will be considered full-term. (Full-term is 37 to 42 weeks; babies born before 37 weeks are pre-term and those born after 42 are post-term.) Most likely he's/she's in a head-down position.
