First off, I would like to congratulate my friend Linda on her new baby boy! His name is Logan Michael and he was born on February 7th. He the cutest little guy, and I can't wait for them to get out of the hospital so that I can go meet him! (You can see a pic of Linda in my Week 21 blog)

On Saturday Dorothy, Greg, Eric and I took a last minute trip to Nagano, and it ended up being a great adventure. For those of you who don't know, Nagano was the site of the 1998 Winter Olympics. There are a ton of ski resorts/slopes in the area, but obviously Baby Bodkin and I were unable to participate in the festivities. Instead Dorothy and I visited the snow monkeys while the boys spent the day snow boarding. Here are a few pictures from our trip...* * * * * * * * *
This week Baby Bodkin has been on the move! He/she has been rolling around in my belly like crazy. I have been trying to figure out what types of food make him/her move, but I can't seem to determine it yet. I will let you know as soon as I know! I do know that Baby Bodkin LOVES sweets!
And of course here are a few belly pics from the week! I don't have my official belly pic up yet, but check back in a few days.
Baby Development Notes
The network of nerves in Baby Bodkin's ears are better developed and more sensitive than before. He/she may now be able to hear voices as we chat, and is inhaling and exhaling small amounts of amniotic fluid, which is essential for the development of the lungs. These so-called breathing movements are also good practice for when Baby Bodkin is born and takes that first gulp of air. He/she now weighs about a pound and two-thirds and measures 14 inches (an English hothouse cucumber) from head to heel.
